Oral Sedation for children
Oral medication provides a safe and convenient way to make your child feel comfortable at the dentist’s office, with no needle use required. When using oral medication, your dentist will prescribe medication that is best suited for your child’s overall health and dental treatment needs.
Before your child’s appointment with us, please inform us of any medications your child is currently taking, or any health conditions they may have. If your child is sick due to non-dental conditions, it may be necessary to postpone the appointment to a later date and time.
Make sure your child does not eat solid food for at least six hours prior to their appointment. Further, they should only drink clear liquids for up to four hours before the time of appointment.
